  • System uses Bosch’s latest high resolution Dinion 540 line CCTV cameras for high quality images
  • Full system includes 130 Bosch cameras, video switchers, DVRs and monitors etc.

Bosch Security Systems has won a £250k plus order to equip the new Eurostar interchange stations at Dartford International in Ebbsfleet and Stratford International, which will serve east and north east London, with a high performance CCTV system.  Bosch are supplying the CCTV including 130 cameras and housings, video switching, monitors and control room equipment.  The system includes the very latest high resolution Dinion cameras boasting 540 TV line resolution capable of producing more detailed images to enhance safety and security at these important rail links and points of entry into the UK.

In addition Bosch is also providing standard resolution Dinions as well as the company’s well known AutoDomes and EnviroDomes. The system also includes a large Bosch Allegiant switching matri capable of handling up to 256 cameras and 64 monitors, nine 16 channel Divar digital video recorders linked together to provide some 3 Terabytes of storage for recorded video, plus alarm interfaces with 64 alarm inputs, motion detection, control room monitors and associated video and control room equipment.

The contract is the latest success for Bosch in the transportation industry and follows other major contacts to provide complete CCTV solutions for London’s mainline stations, bridges, the Underground as well as traffic and motorway schemes in and around London.

Bosch also assisted with the design and commissioning services as well as training and on-going service and maintenance.  “We are effectively working in partnership with the customer to provide a complete customised CCTV solution” said Lindsay Brennwald of Bosch Security Systems. “The new 540 line Dinion cameras being installed at the Eurostar stations will provide the highest quality video to enhance security and safety,” he added.

The building of the new Stratford and Dartford interchange stations is part of a major project to switch the Eurostar service from Waterloo International station to a new line terminating at St Pancras International.  The new route will reduce journey times form London to Paris to 2 hours 35 minutes.  London-Brussels will be just 1 hour 51 minutes. Major contractors involved in the project include the Costain, O’Rourke, Skanska/Bachy-Soletanche, Emcor Rail (CORBER) joint venture which won Phase 2 of the £5.2bn Channel Tunnel Rail Link contract covering links from Stratford, east London and the extension of St Pancras Station.
