The launch of the BX600 HD Bullet Camera from IndigoVision creates a new, robust outdoor surveillance option with in-built IR illumination. The camera provides a high-resolution, open-standards offering and is highly effective where there is a requirement for an external camera in areas of minimal night-time ambient light. IP66 rated and ONVIF-conformant, the HD Bullet can be installed externally, without the need to be placed within an additional weather-proof housing, and can tolerate a wide range of conditions from -30°C to 50°C (-22°F to 122°F). The camera requires no additional lighting source, as it has built-in IR illumination delivering maximum image quality in low light. The easy to install HD Bullet enables customers to implement high-quality 1080p HD video while benefiting from IndigoVision’s complete solution.  Users can view live and recorded video from the camera within Control Center, the user interface to IndigoVision’s Security Management Solution, SMS4™. Dallmeier DF5200HD-DN-1 day/night full HD network box camera has been developed with special attention to changing light conditions for 24-hour video surveillance. The extremely high light sensitivity of the sensor and the sophisticated image processing ensure crisp colour images even in the dark. This IP camera is equipped with an ambient light sensor and can automatically switch between day and night modes. In addition, different day and night presets for the exposure settings can be defined and adjusted. The new P-Iris control provides precise and automatic setting of the optimum aperture. March Networks’ new ME3 Pendant IR PTZ camera delivers uncompromising security for large indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as essential features to ensure high reliability, clear image capture and storage efficiency. Ideal for large-footprint environments such as parking lots, big box stores and transit stations, the camera incorporates electronic image stabilisation and HDR, so recorded video is always crisp. Universal Power over Ethernet (UPoE) ensures redundancy and zero downtime by switching to PoE when a camera loses power. And built-in PTZ auto-tracking uses motion detection to automatically track a person or object, keeping the image centred and in focus. Software updates are quick and easy to apply using the mass management feature available in Command Enterprise software, while PTZ-optimised motion histograms speed search capabilities. ANPR technology The DF5200HD-IR-ANPR is a special camera with integrated IR illumination. The images provided by the camera are optimised for the automatic recognition of vehicle number plates on a SEDOR® ANPR Server appliance. Equipped with the most advanced sensor and encoder technology, a powerful IR illumination and a special optical filter, the camera provides high-resolution and monochrome video footage. This is the ideal base for a precise and fast 24-hour number plate recognition, regardless of environmental conditions or changing lighting at day and night. Infrared sensitivity The camera features an outstanding infrared sensitivity and permanently supplies infrared images with excellent contrast. Dallmeier has added another model to its 5200 Nightline series, the MDF5200HD-DN. This is a compact module camera which is ideally suited for installations in automated teller machines, gambling tables and display panels. The 5200 Nightline series has been developed with special attention to changing light conditions for 24-hour video surveillance. One particularly special feature is its outstanding low-light performance: The extremely high light sensitivity of the sensor and the sophisticated image processing ensure crisp colour images even in the dark. In night mode, the cameras also provide outstanding results due to their excellent infrared sensitivity. The MDF5200HD-DN module camera is built into a small sensor enclosure and a separate encoder enclosure. Thanks to this extremely compact design, the camera is ideally suited for installations in automated teller machines, gambling tables and display panels – the corresponding mounting brackets are already included ex works. Furthermore, the IP camera is equipped with a 1/4" tripod socket located on the top and bottom, so it fits all standard brackets. The camera provides up to 2K Full-HD video with up to 30fps at full resolution (1080p/30). It has a motor-driven megapixel varifocal lens that is perfectly tuned to the image sensor. The adjustment of zoom, focus and iris is made conveniently using a web browser, and no manual lens setting is required at the installation site of the camera. Honeywell has unveiled three new H.264, True day / night cameras; the HCD5MIHX box camera, the HD3MDIHX fixed mini dome for indoor use and the HD4MDIHX, a vandal resistant fixed mini dome. The cameras all use efficient compression technology to provide high picture quality at minimal bandwidth. Network and storage limitations have long been a barrier to the adoption of high definition (HD) cameras. Each new model provides 720p image quality at lower bandwidth by using H.264 compression to reduce the size of the digital video file by more than 50 per cent compared with the standard M-JPEG format. In addition, unlike some other solutions on the market, the cameras provide 720p resolution at full frame rate in low light and very little ‘noise' ensuring detail is optimised in images captured under these conditions without compromising on storage. The True/Day Night cameras also significantly reduce the cost of conversion to HD IP video by offering H.264 compression at a very competitive price compared to MPEG-4 cameras. This provides customers with a cost effective way of migrating straight to a HD IP system, which offers superior detail and image quality compared to analogue or VGA IP. From a cost efficiency perspective, the better quality widescreen picture these cameras provide also means that fewer cameras are required in some installations, making it potentially cheaper for end users to upgrade from analogue to HD models rather than from analogue to VGA IP.  The cameras can also be retrofitted on many existing DVR/NVR installations without requiring additional storage.
