TSS (Traffic Safety Systems) - part of AD Group - has been shortlisted as a finalist in two categories of the prestigious Security Excellence Awards 2007, with the company in contention for both the Best Security Innovation and Best Integrated Security Solution awards.  The final results will be announced on 10 October at a ceremony in London's Park Lane.

For Best Security Innovation, it was the TSS's advanced PatrolVu mobile digital CCTV system which stood out during the shortlisting process.  The new PatrolVu system - created to address the key issues of deterring street crime and anti-social behaviour - offers significant performance improvements and user benefits over older tape based analogue technology and features a multi-camera recording system with high powered zoom cameras capable of operating in low light conditions, on board monitoring and video playback, pre-event recording, GPS coordinates and full system controls for the operators.

The impact that TSS's solutions can have on the ground has also been recognised by the company's shortlisting in the Best Integrated Security Solution award for its work in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.  Here, TSS's PatrolVu mobile CCTV system equips two new patrol vehicles to support Barnsley's multi-agency Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNTs). This digital solution effectively integrates Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), Special Constables, Tasking Officers, and Impact Wardens with electronic security to allow the effective management of resources and, as a result, anti-social behaviour and crime in the local area.

Ron Coleman, Sales Director at TSS, said, "We are delighted to have been shortlisted for these two major awards, recognising as they do the innovative nature and, crucially, the operational benefits for law enforcement of our PatrolVu technology."
