Adam Wiseberg - Main Board Director at CCTV specialist AD Group and Chairman of the BSIA (British Security Industry Association) - has been appointed to the Board of Skills for Security, which is chaired by Lord Stevens, the former Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, and brings together key figures with extensive knowledge of today's security issues.

Skills for Security, which was formed in January 2006, is one of a number of standard setting bodies recognised by the Sector Skills Development Agency.  It is tasked with setting standards and raising skills for the nearly half a million people who work in the security sector across the UK.

Commented Adam Wiseberg: "I am pleased to take up this important position as a Non-Executive Director with Skills for Security.  It ties-in with my long-term commitment to best practice across the industry. I believe that my extensive business experience, through my role at AD Group and, crucially, my work on industry standards with the BSIA (British Security Industry Association), will prove invaluable in assisting the Board to achieve its aims and objectives."

Said Linda Sharpe, Interim Chief Executive, Skills for Security: "When we were appointing the Board it was important, as an employer led organisation, that this was able to reflect the industry and the real challenges it faces in an evolving security environment.  We were therefore delighted when we were able to have someone of Adam's standing as a Non-Executive Director."
