Bosch FLEXIDOME IP corner 9000 MP camera suitable for critical areas
Bosch FLEXIDOME IP corner 9000 MP camera suitable for critical areas

Modern video safety surveillance has to be able to observe locations with poor lighting conditions which are prone to vandalism. The new FLEXIDOME IP corner 9000 MP camera from Bosch specifically addresses these requirements, making it particularly suitable for such critical areas as bus stations, care facilities, and hospitals. By supplying usable, clear video images even in completely dark surroundings, the camera enables video surveillance to act as a truly preventive component in the safety of public traffic users and patients. Safety personal will gain a much higher situational awareness and thus will be able to intervene at an early stage.  Critical areas, such as waiting rooms, are prone to vandalism, which is often aimed at the surveillance equipment itself. While the fundamental problem may be poor lighting conditions or even complete darkness, it is still necessary to cover the entire area with a minimum number of cameras, while providing extra illumination as well as resistance to vandalism or tampering. Addressing these needs, the FLEXIDOME IP corner 9000 MP camera features high-resolution, wide-angle optics for maximum detail and image usability, as well as a wide-angle fisheye lens for covering every corner. Furthermore, in order to supply additional illumination as needed, integrated active infrared LEDs maintain video clarity even in complete darkness. Thanks to its rugged and non-grip design, the camera is extremely difficult to tamper with. Finally, it is equipped with the latest Content Based Imaging Technology, which lowers bandwidth consumption and thus storage costs by up to 50 percent by way of intelligent Dynamic Image Noise Reduction (iDNR). This innovative feature suppresses all irrelevant image noise artifacts, therefore substantially reducing the bandwidth required.   “Providing better security in single-room surroundings or areas with critical light conditions is an increasingly important requirement for video surveillance,” explains Arnaud Lannes, Product Marketing Manager Video Systems at Bosch Security Systems. “The new FLEXIDOME IP corner 9000 MP camera represents a solution not only for care facilities, but also for industrial environments that need extra protection.”   The FLEXIDOME IP corner 9000 MP camera seamlessly integrates with a wide range of security software and recording solutions from Bosch, such  as the Video Management System BVMS and DIVAR IP recorders, as well as those of third-party suppliers, as it is ONVIF compliant. The camera is also supported by the Integration Partner Program, which gives partners  immediate access to online tools for easy integration. Bosch Advantage Line of analogue and IP surveillance cameras suits small businesses
Bosch Advantage Line of analogue and IP surveillance cameras suits small businesses

Bosch Security Systems is to launch ‘the Advantage Line’ – a new family of analogue and IP CCTV security and surveillance products that brings smaller businesses the quality and reliability that is the hallmark of Bosch technology, but at an affordable price. Available exclusively through Norbain and ProVision in the UK, and SKS in Eire, the new Advantage Line technologies are specifically targeted at companies who provide complete security solutions and/or those that may resell and install security products. Paul Wong, Managing Director of Bosch Security Systems, says that the purchasers are likely to already have a good technical knowledge of Bosch products: “The Advantage Line has been developed with a certain size of business in mind,” he says. “Customers will have already recognised the quality and reliability of our technology, but are challenged by their customers when it comes to the cost,” he says. “By delivering a series of products that have targeted features fit for the application, that are easy to configure and install, and that are available in quantity, we believe we are bringing the best of both worlds to all parties.” Mr Wong says that as well as the products, Bosch will also provide a specific level of dedicated customer support: “We will be working closely with our distribution partners to ensure that the Advantage Line has the high level of support our customers expect,” he adds.

See at a glance what your video streaming solution can do with ONVIF Profile S

As a contributing member and strong supporter of ONVIF, TKH Security Solutions has successfully implemented ONVIF Profile S in its Siqura IP cameras and video encoders, thereby simplifying their effective incorporation into third-party systems. Profile S comprises all the streaming requirements across each ONVIF version point and is the first in a series of profiles that enable users to more easily determine the compatibility of ONVIF-compliant equipment. Seamless integration guaranteed By ensuring its Siqura solutions conform to ONVIF Profile S, TKH Security Solutions guarantees that its Siqura IP devices integrate seamlessly with third-party products that comply with the ONVIF Profile S specification. Siqura cameras and codecs now support video streaming, PTZ control, audio streaming, NTP, and relay outputs according to the ONVIF standard. This offers customers the ability to select the products that best suit their specific project requirements. Stricter requirements for ONVIF compliancy The ONVIF standard has a number of different versions that contain various features. Since the features required to integrate a system for a particular purpose are not necessarily part of the same version, ONVIF reorganized its version specifications into profiles, each of which covers a specific task; for example, Profile S contains streaming requirements while Profile G and Profile C cover the storage and access control features, respectively. The ONVIF test tool has also been adjusted to more accurately certify products that are compliant with a certain profile. Profile S sets strict guidelines for the common components that are shared by ONVIF-compliant devices (e.g., cameras and codecs) and client programs (e.g., management software). It defines how these products must send, configure, request, or control media streaming over an IP network. Ultimately, this facilitates the efforts of manufacturers, systems integrators, and users to more effectively streamline and implement integrated systems based on open standards.
